Abstraction of Nature
Updated: Nov 24, 2019
Artist: Sasha Getsko
Sasha Getsko is a London based artist, who creates paintings as a result of her inspiration, mood and inner state. She works in abstract style, using a soft and vivid palette of colours. She paints mainly with acrylics and prefers large scale canvases.
One of the main sources of inspiration for Sasha is nature and through abstract shapes she captures the elements of it, as a reminder of its beauty and essence. As a painter in the process of making art she prefers to use eco art supplies and minimise her usage of paper and plastic.
Sasha holds a BA in Fine art and currently studying Arts Management at Goldsmiths, University of London.

The painting on the right is on display at our exhibition. The image reflects on the industrialisation of natural lands; polluting the air, soil and destroying pristine nature.
Image 2: "In Bloom" acrylic on canvas, 2019
With more than half of the world’s diet of fats and oils coming from animal-pollinated plants, In Bloom captures the essence of pollination by focusing on the beauty of a single, abstract flower.
